We have a second on the way so have just bought another camera which apparently we can view with the same screen and potentially even do split screen which would be amazing…yet to verify this though.1. The linked item has exactly the same pictures/specs as the Vava one and has been linked to it being the same on some forums. I believe they have "unbranded" it however and it has been listed again here and at $144 I genuinely think it is a bargain compared to in store products as I cannot think of anything that this doesn't do.

I am aware Vava has been kicked from Amazon (for dodgy review practices) but without any bias however I could not recommend it any more. We haven't used this yet but it seems to work fine with a bit of a delay. The camera has a speaker as well so you can talk to your baby from a distance. Again, without comparing it to others, the visuals are amazing (this morning I could read the words in a book our 15mth was "reading" in the cot), the sound is clear (not just baby talk but I can hear my wife perfectly when she talks in the room), the LED indications for noise is handy as we normally have the sound on mute, the camera movement is absolutely fine, the temperature sensor in the room is amazingly handy and seems to be relatively accurate, battery life is no issues for how we use it (charge overnight, off charge through day), the night vision is very clear, the range is great (we have a two story house and it can go from the back of the house top level to the front garden (~30m). I was very cautious of it as it wasn't a name brand and wasn't sold in stores, but I couldn't be happier after since getting it in May. Regarding recommendations, when I looked this up for the first time, it was a minefield, but I settled on the Vava. When going to sleep, through stages our first would get quite upset for the first ~20min, so we purposefully left the monitor away from us so we could get on with other stuff and not be tempted to watch, but still keep phone with us…might not make sense but anyway.

My 2c though…We chose a non-Wifi baby monitor so we could use devices whilst monitoring, but it also gives you the option to have your device and not being tempted to just permanently watch, if that makes sense. Caveat…all baby stuff is very subjective, no right or wrong, just get what suits you.
